                               RESOLUTION NO. 18909
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF
                   ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FIFTY (1,950) FEET
                   OF EIGHT INCH (8") WATER MAIN AND FOUR (4)
                   FIRE HYDRANTS FOR PUBLIC FIRE PROTECTION AT
                   LOCATIONS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
                   HEREIN, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF THE
                   TARIFF THEREFOR.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the installation of 1,950 feet of
       eight inch (8") water main and four (4) fire hydrants for public
       fire protection be and is hereby authorized at locations 
described
       herein:
            1.	 Approximately 950 feet of 8" main on Moss Avenue
                 from the intersection at Kelleys Ferry Road north
                 to the intersection at Center Street.
           
            2.	 1,000 feet of 8" main from the existing termination
                 point of water main on Patten Chapel Road (300
                 block), south.
           
            3.	 One (1) fire hydrant at the northern most point of
                 existing main on Mountain Creek Road.
           
            4.	 One (1) fire hydrant at the intersection of Moss
                 Avenue and Centro Street.
           
            5.	 One (1) fire hydrant at the intersection of Moss
                 Avenue and Center Street.
           
            6.	 One (1) fire hydrant at the point of proposed
                 termination on Patten Chapel Road.
           
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that payment of the tariff to
       the Tennessee-American Water Company be and is hereby authorized.
